VRF (Variable Refrigerant Flow) is an English abbreviation standing for variable flow air conditioning systems in Turkish. The system is designed by developing an existing air-conditioning system in order to achieve more efficient and useful air conditioning of multiple places. The system can be considered as the connecting a single or modular outdoor unit to one or more indoor units connected to each other through branches and copper pipe.
Being a variable airflow system, it provides sufficient refrigerant to the indoor unit at the right time and phase, thus enables heating or cooling. Via distributing gas flow to indoor units through inverter compressor(s), air-conditioning is performed. Thanks to an advanced control system, cooling/heating process can be carried out simultaneously or at different times. VRF air conditioning systems are the most efficient air-conditioning systems known in the world.
