Backup Operation
In case of malfunction of a compressor, the system can continue to operate with other compressors in heating or cooling mode thanks to the dual compressor design.

The Start-up Control Function (8-48 HP)
In the cooling mode, service valve, cross-linking error of the refrigerant pipes or electrical wiring, or EEV operating status can be checked automatically by control function. This control function can be operated at 0-43 °C outside temperatures and 10-32 °C inside temperature with a dip switch on the outdoor unit card. This feature avoids errors due to potential assembly defects after a 15-30 minute test period prior to start-up.

Monitoring Function
Error display provides easy error detection. Via multi-point sensors, several error detections are notified and these error codes can easily be displayed through the screen located on the outdoor unit card.
Operating status can be checked on a PC screen by RS232C connection, located in outdoor unit electronic card in all KX6 / KXR6 models and all tests can properly be carried out by Mentor PC service software.
